“Okay, what do you want to do?” he said.

“We need to have something of our own, something that we can build on. Something that will allow us to be of service to the community. Something that will be rewarding. We need to think outside the box a bit” she said.

“Hey, Cheshire Bookshop is for sale!” he said.

“Let’s go for it!” she said.

And with that a dream became a reality.

At the time we thought that Chris’ experience as a CPA with degrees in Accounting and Literature, and Paul’s experience as a Manufacturing Engineer with a background in art would prepare us for such an adventure. Chris had lived in Fort Bragg back in the 70’s & 80’s and we had plenty of friends there, seemed like a perfect fit.

And it has been. Despite the challenges of independent bookstores and retail businesses these days it is an exciting and rewarding adventure. One that we feel provides a valuable service to the community. We hope you’ll come in and visit us.
